What I learned

Hello! This is week four of Genius Hour! Yay! Well, genius hour has taught me a lot about baking. I realize that you have to be very patient when you bake, because if you're impatient, what you're making is not gonna become what you wanted it to be.
While making my cake, I learned that some things are gonna go wrong so you have to be flexible. I started making my cake really late on Mother's Day, which I know I shouldn't have done. I didn't get done until a quarter to one.
Because I started late, I couldn't freeze the cake and ice cream as long as it said to. That was hard on me, because when I had to transport the cake it would be difficult. My aunt lives in Fort Worth and I live in Grand Prairie. I was literally scared the whole ride home. But, the cake made it home fine, so I wasn't as stressed as I was.

Road Block

Hello Everyone!! So, this is week three, and Genius Hour has been been very tricky for me. Something happened in my process of making the prototype of my Ice Cream Cake. I couldn't make it!
My aunt was suppose to help me make my masterpiece on Friday. She is the baker of the family, so of course I wanted help from her! But, on Thursday, she had to go out of town for her job.
I was upset that this was gonna mess up my journey through Genius Hour, but then I realized that it's good to have a problem. You get to learn from your problem and make it better. Hopefully, I get to make it this week.

My Progress

Hello my fellow blog readers! So, this is week two of the Genius Hour project and it's getting very exciting. I can not wait to get my hands dirty with this project.
The past week, I have been looking at recipes for Ice Cream Cakes, and I found one that I am very satisfied with. Hopefully, it will taste as good as it looks.
I am hoping that I get to try to make a prototype very soon and get a lot of feedback that will help me make it better. I am so excited to see how it turns out!

Baking 2.0

I've always been fascinated with baking for a very long time. My family baked all the time throughout my life. I've learned to make many things, which makes me think, "Can I challenge myself into making something more difficult than anything I've done?"
Last year for Genius Hour I made donuts, so this year I want to try something harder than that. After thinking I thought about an Ice Cream Cake.
I can not wait to share my baking experience with everyone. I'm so excited to see how it turns out. Hopefully it will be another success!
